Early Childhood Community Engagement
Community Engagement:1) Early Relational Health educates early childhood and clinical professionals on how to assess and support the relational health between parents and young children. In 2021, we trained over 40 medical professionals and provided over 48 hours of training to EC professionals.2) Our Houston area projects include Babies in Baytown, Houston Infant Toddler Coalition, Bright By Text and Family Leadership Groups. These initiatives empowered hundreds of parents, caregivers, early childhood professionals, local officials and stakeholders to collectively develop and implement strategies and systems that increase positive early experiences for infants and toddlers in Greater Houston.3) Baby Day invites families to participate in a day/week of activities and resources that promote bonding, delight and family engagement. Over 7,100 parents, infants and toddlers from 132 Texas communities participated in 119 virtual activity sessions over the course of one week in February 2021.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$748.7KSafe Babies Initiative
