    The Arlington Life Shelter provides emergency food and shelter and has a job readiness program that prepares families and individuals to return to self-sufficiency. In 2020, Arlington Life Shelter expanded with a new and remodeled building from 14,000 sq. ft. to 26,000 sq ft. to be able to serve approximately 40% more than 2019. Arlington Life Shelter's employment program had 33% of the residents maintain their employment while experiencing homelessness and 40% of unemployed gain employment while staying at the Shelter. Arlington Life Shelter's employment program participants, upon leaving the program and moving into self-sufficiency/housing, not only secured employment, but also had a savings of over $900.00 which is a 66% increase.

    Arlington Life Shelter is committed to assisting individuals and families impacted by homelessness in North Texas to create a path to self-sufficiency. Achievements in 2024:a. 761 Sheltered Individualsb. 277,765 Nights of Shelterc. 93,594 Meals Servedd. 94 Volunteer Food Teams Volunteer Hours-5,668e. 451 Residents exited the shelter to their own home, rental, supportive housing, family, friends, hotels or institutions.
