Volunteer Attorney Recruitment
Recruiting - Ongoing recruitment of volunteer attorneys is an integral part of the Community Service Fund. Presentations are made at law firms, corporations, by telephone, internet and mail. Follow-up activities are conducted to maximize numbers and to ensure retention of recruited volunteers. Over 12,392 attorneys have been recruited to serve low-income individuals. Training - Intensive training sessions are held during the year to prepare attorneys for their pro bono services and representations. Materials are provided and experts lecture on relevant legal topics such as family law, bankruptcy, guardianship, and ethics.
