Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is a 386-bed, Magnet-designated hospital and a recognized clinical leader, providing technologically advanced care to Plano, Frisco and surrounding communities since 1991. This full-service facility features a comprehensive range of specialties, including emergency medicine, cardiology, adult and adolescent behavioral health, advanced surgical services and the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area. Texas Health Plano has more than 1,700 employees and over 1,300 physicians on its medical staff in more than 65 specialties. The hospital has achieved both Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designations, Level II Trauma designation, DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program, and accredited by The Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement and as a Primary Heart Attack Center. THP had 102,250 patient days, 19,681 discharges, 3,276 births, 93,001 outpatient encounters, and 53,344 emergency room visits during the calendar year. THP provides quality medical healthcare services regardless of the patient's race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. THP provides care to persons covered by governmental programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care.
