Chrisman California Islands Center
TMRE is continuing their partnership with the Santa Cruz Island Foundation to create the Chrisman California Islands Center. It will be a leading depository of research and archives of all the California Islands. It will also be open to the public with educational displays; and have an office for TMRE, as well as a center of operations for TMRE's underwater ROV program. Building interior improvements are near completion; and plans for the exterior have been submitted to the city. TMRE has partnered with the Santa Cruz Island Foundation under flag carrying expeditions of the Explorers Club of New York to conduct underwater research. TMRE has outfitted a commercial ROV, and assembled a group of professional volunteers to conduct research off the California Channel Islands.
