  • Vallejo Choral Society Concerts

    For its 106th season, Vallejo Choral Society presented two, December concerts featuring Margaret Bonds Ballad of the Brown King. Additionally, VCS performed a Christmas concert for the Mare Island Naval Museum, also in December. In March 2023, VCS held a successful Spring Gala with choral works based on themes from Shakespear. To complete the season, the 45-member Choral Society produced two performances anchored with Michael Haydn's Requiem, with Baroque orchestra and renowned guest soloists, presented at St. Pauls in Episcopal Church Benicia and the Springbrook Masonic Temple in Vallejo. Concert attendance for each performance described is about 100 audience guests. VCS also continued growing its youth chorus, Campanelli Children's Choir, in association with Greater Vallejo Recreation District. We had a total of 16 students over two semesters.
