Hug Me Tight Child Development Program
Hug Me Tight cared for an average of 40 at risk children per month for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021. These children were provided nutritious meals in accordance with federal guidelines, involved in educational activities designed to maximize developmental potential, and engaged with community partners whose mission is improving the quality of life for children and families associated with Hug Me Tight programming. Hug Me Tight cared for an average of 45-60 at risk children per month for fiscal year end June 30, 2024. Care continued at the highest levels to include educational activities, nutritious meals, and partnerships with community resources focusing on improving quality of life for children and families associated with Hug Me Tight programming. With an ongoing focus on developing language and literacy growth, cognitive/problem solving skills, and pro-social/emotional abilities, programming provided by Jumpstart sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Library, and Reading is Fundamental enhanced developmental potential of children enrolled at the Center.
