Blank Forms Support for Emerging Artists
Blank Forms was created to serve as a comprehensive support structure for emerging and unrepresented artists and archives and to provide resources and outlets for their work, particularly by creating in-depth public programs and educational materials. Across the fiscal year of January 1 2022December 31, 2022, Blank Forms presented a total of forty seven performances and two exhibitions, and released eleven books and records from the publishing imprint Blank Forms Editions. Blank Forms continued to present events and exhibitions to the public in two Clinton Hill, Brooklyn spaces, while additionally organizing off-site programs across New York City, and in other cities including Los Angeles, Paris, Seoul, and Oslo. A major cross-platform project illuminated the under-known work of late Texan artist, composer, and performer Jerry Hunt through a debut institutional exhibition, two books, and a program of performances, screenings, and audio releases. A new series of multi-day residencies in Brooklyn featured artists including Rhodri Davies, Judith Hamann, Anja Lauvdal, Isaiah Collier, and Exotic Sin, among others. Blank Forms additionally toured projects with Amina Claudine Myers, Jiha Park, and Catherine Christer Hennix both nationally and internationally. A focus on engaging local artists continued through work with Nate Wooley, Dawuna, Time Wharp, C. Spencer Yeh, and Gray/Smith, among others.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$816.4K
