CAC Ambassadors a statewide leadership coalition of local foster and kinship parents met at least twice monthly and distributed technology and distance learning resources to children and youth. In collaboration with other organizations CAC provided training to parents and caregivers on caring for children with mental health needs. CAC held meetings with decision-makers to share the voice of parents and caregivers. CAC conducted "comfort calls" and technical assistance during the pandemic. Foster and kinship caregivers educated policy and decision-makers on the barriers to and additional support needed for high quality foster care for abused and neglected children. The focus was on trauma-informed care and support. Dr. Nadine Burke-Harris CA's first Surgeon General gave the keynote address.
