Teach Western Mass contracted to generation teach (GT). GT is a non-profit non-partisan organization which partners with district and charter schools to develop talanted and diverse young people ("Teaching Fellows") with local pathways into careers in education. GT's summer program includes a two week training period for teaching fellows as well as a summer academy designed to close the opportunity GAP for low-income urban middle-school students.It gives aspiring teachers without prior education coursework or experience from all backgrounds the chance to lead a classroom while receiving significant support toward earning massachusetts certification.
