    Because of the Pandemic, 2020 was a hold steady year. No public programs, events, etc. Orchard is in good shape. Lots fruit and several successful experiments: Peaches in Alaska!!!!

  • Community Orchard Development

    2019 was another good year at the Commons. Our orchard is now just about complete - we have almost 100 fruit trees in the ground and the warm summer led to and surprisingly robust harvest from our young trees. We also harvested several gallons of honey from our bee hive. In terms of art, our children's mural was an outstanding success. We also received donations for an espalier which is located in the middle of the orchard. We had several children's events that were coordinated with the neighboring elementary school. All in all, a very good year.

  • Orchard Events and Maintenance

    2021 saw an increase in activity. The Commons hosted two outdoor events. Fruit trees continue to produce and mature. Definitely starting to return to normal after the pandemic.
