    The Lane Thomas Foundation works to improve public awareness and understanding for increased pediatric organ donation to ultimately save children's lives. The Foundation provides information and education at donor events and provides information regarding the need for pediatric organ donations on its website and social pages. The foundation also launched a national public service announcement video as part of their keep love alive campaign.

  • Financial Assistance for Families

    The Lane Thomas Foundation provided $90,351 in non-medical financial assistance to support 28 families of children undergoing solid organ or bone marrow transplants, allowing the parents to focus on their child while keeping the family together. Families often must travel from out of state to obtain life-saving medical services. They incur travel expenses and duplicate living expenses while they are away from their home and often must leave their job due to extended periods of time they must spend in Omaha. The Lane Thomas Foundation assists the families with expenses either at home (mortgage/rent, auto payment, utilities) if a parent must leave their job, and any incremental expenses incurred traveling to Omaha or during their stay (gas, airfare, lodging, food, and other basic living expenses).
