Programs
Program 1 [2021]
Space Between taught mindfulness to students, teens, educators, and family members. During the 2020-2021 schools year, we did this through virtual weekly, semester long in-classroom programming , virtual live workshops for educators, and families, and partnerships with organizations to provide sustainable programming for teens, teachers, and parents/guardians. We served over 1450 children and teens, more than 750 educators, and more than 300 parents/guardians. Our impact is acknowledged by people in our anonymous surveys with comments like "I really appreciate you all creating a safe space for us teenagers to come learn about ways we can be less anxious and talk about our experiences and feelings" (teen); "Mindfulness is my calm and kind space." (1st grader); "Space Between has been such an amazing gift to our students and staff during this time of uncertainty. The techniques you have shared with our students to actually listen to their needs and most importantly their hearts is invaluable and a lifelong skill. Providing space for them to be leaders has also brought forth many future Space Between leaders."
