BEFORE LEAVING THE PROGRAM FOR THEIR ADOPTIVE HOME, ALL DOGS ARE ALTERED, UPDATED ON VACCINATIONS, TESTED FOR HEARTWORMS (AND TREATED ACCORDINGLY IF NECESSARY), ESTABLISHED ON FLEA AND HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE MEDICATIONS AND MICROCHIPPED. IN ADDITION, AND IN EFFORT TO ENSURE ALL DOGS WILL HAVE SAFE AND LOVING HOMES, THE ORGANIZATION CAREFULLY SCREENS ALL POTENTIAL FOSTER AND ADOPTION HOME APPLICANTS.
