  • Family Health Project - pilots

    We launched on Mother’s Day, in partnership with Lynn Community Health Center, delivering the first of 36 months of unconditional monthly payments of $400 to new mothers and their babies living in poverty. Our next pilot will launch in Roxbury later next week, right after Thanksgiving, in partnership with Whittier Street Health Center. And I have bigger news to share. We’ve just received a challenge grant from an anonymous philanthropist who will donate $250,000 to Family Health Project, if we can raise the same amount (gifts and pledges) from individuals by December 31st. A beautiful, inspiring development, to be sure. If you’re inclined to help, please be in touch. We believe we are on our way to proving the effectiveness of a new model of support for families living in deep poverty.
