Grants for living and medical expenses for low-income or homeless families. Better Options TN provides housing assistance to qualifying families. Assistance includes the first months rent and deposit. Big Backpack Giveaway Grants for Backpacks and School Supplies for Children. Better Options TN gave 2000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students throughout Williamson County. School supplies were either donated or purchased with donations. The backpacks were distributed in Franklin, TN and at various non-profit community organizations throughout the county. It was truly a community wide effort of community leaders coming together to organize the event. Dozens of volunteers came to fill the backpacks with supplies and hand them out at the event. B)Building Dreams Home Program Better Options TN provided emergency housing for 5 families in 2023 (21 people). Program Objectives: Our Building Dreams Home is a house providing transitional housing that has served recently arrived families who have transitioned from other countries to the United States. This home provides a safe and comfortable place for families for up to 90 days, rent free.
