Phillips County Hospital Association is a 6-bed critical access hospital (CAH) and provider based rural health clinic, that employs one physician and three nurse practitioners, and is located in Malta, Montana. The Hospital provides quality care and services in ER, Inpatient, Outpatient and swingbed medical care along with home/community based services to all ages of our community in Phillips County, Montana and the surrounding areas. During FY 2018, the Organization had total inpatient days of 602 with an average daily census of 1.65. There were a total of 926 ER patients.The provider based Rural Health Clinic (RHC) provides family practice/primary care to meet the medical needs of our rural/frontier community of all ages regardless of ability to pay. Our RHC is HPSA designated as well as a NHSN site. Total visits for Fiscal Year 2018: 7,272.Home and Community Based services offered include: Home Health, Personal Assistance and DME/oxygen. These services meet the needs of our community's elderly and disabled who have limited to no resources and wish to be able to remain in the community. These individuals either can't make it out of their home or it is very difficult for them to get out of their home for care/services. During the fiscal year the Organization had the following statistics:Home Health visits last year - 957, DME/oxygen encounters - 53 and Personal Assistance clients served equaled 24 with a total of 521 hours of service offered. Phillips County Hospital offers a fully functional, staff and equipped Laboratory (67,477 tests) as well as Radiology departments (X-Rays - 1,727 and CT - 386). We also provide PT to inpatients, HH and outpatients (7,294). During FY 2024 the Organization had total inpatient days of 495 with an average daily census of 1.36. There were a total of 1,282 ER patients.The provider based Rural Health Clinic (RHC) provides family practice/primary care to meet the medical needs of our rural/frontier community of all ages regardless of ability to pay. Our RHC is HPSA designated as well as a NHSN site. Total visits for Fiscal Year 2024: 5,297.Home and Community Based services offered includes Visiting Nurse Services, Personal Assistance and DME/oxygen. These services meet the needs of our community's elderly and disabled who have limited to no resources and wish to be able to remain in the community. These individuals either can't make it out of their home, or it is very difficult for them to get out of their home for care/services. During the fiscal year the Organization had the following statistics: Visiting Nurse visits last year - 178, DME/oxygen encounters 263 patient encounters and Personal Assistance clients episodes were at 256. Phillips County Hospital offers a fully functional, staffed and equipped Laboratory with 5,181 patient encounters as well as Radiology departments (X-Rays -836, CT- 302, MRI- 71, US-95 ). We also provide PT and OT to inpatients and outpatients (1,018 PT and 248 OT encounters). Phillips County Hospital offers a fully functional, staffed and equipped Laboratory and Radiology Department with 4,774 patient encounters. We also provide PT and OT to inpatients and outpatients (2,237 PT and 380 OT encounters).
