  • Program 1 [2024]

    In 2024 the Jason Mraz Foundation (JMF) awarded $198,800.00 in programming financial support to nonprofit organizations that aligned with our vision to promote artistic training, meal distribution, development and personal expression, advancing equality and empowering through arts education. As part of our our third SHINE Program, JMF hosted Kaleidoscope; a two night community performance with eight like-minded nonprofits arts organizations that provided programming to students with different backgrounds and physical abilities. With over 100 performers and 2,500 audience members, our February event was a huge success providing additional granting opportunities and partnerships. In September 2024 JMF partnered with The Good Tidings Foundation to help renovate a dance studio for the Tierra Caliente Academy of Arts which hosts programming that cultivates personal identity, leadership skills, values and the power of self-initiative through the cultural arts. The renovation will allow dancers ages 7+ to learn traditional Folklorico dance along with other cultural dances. In the fall of 2024 JMF launched Gratitude Grants; a campaign for the public to nominate their favorite nonprofit for a programming grant. Over 1,000 entries were submitted and vetted with 25 grants of $3,000 awarded.
