Support for Disadvantaged Farmers
TASFR program activities assist socially-disadvantaged farmers and ranchers with the improvement of their agricultural operations. The organization actively engages in outreach activities in rural areas to share knowledge of best practices in farming and related business functions, including technology, renewable energy, and natural resource conservation. The organization maintains a focus on its five-point AMOOP Program Thrust 1. Advocacy, 2. Mentorship, 3. Outreach, 4. Opportunities, and 5. Partnerships while building trust in underserved communities. TASFR has been successful in identifying the needs of small farmers in rural areas and providing links to available state and federal resources.
