NYS Small Business Services Small BID (Business Improvement District) Data Project - a grant- funded project, supported by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), in which Civ Lab partnered with two technical subcontractors (Urban Logiq & Ginkgo) to develop an online platform for NYCs small ($1 million in annual operating funds) Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). This platform, the NYC Places Data Hub, offers BIDs ground-level intelligence about their commercial districts and neighborhoods and what makes their BID attractive to prospective and current customers and businesses. This platform offers a system that can provide BIDs with economic development and climate & mobility insights into their neighborhoods, allowing for the visualization of data and mapping in such a way that it facilitates trend spotting and the generation of reports that can communicate local challenges and successes, identify needs for operational shifts, or advocate for expanded programs or services.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$284.3KUrban Tech Summit
