Experiential Learning Lab Internship Program
The Experiential Learning Lab ELL Program started as a series of workshops and evolved to become a comprehensive paid internship program in the South End community of Little Rock AR focused on providing trade-career focused opportunities for middle and high school students. It launched in the summer of 2020 and focused on providing hands-on opportunities for underserved BIPOC students living or attending school in the South End community. The program offers three components: community workshops an internship and a trade careers pathways program for high school students. During FY23 we benefited ~300 individuals and 32 student interns.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesFeb 1, 2023 – Jan 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$88.3KMelanin Market for Economic Empowerment

Self Care Summer: We recognize the growing challenges for BIPOC youth to prioritize and maintain their mental well-being. The Self-Care Summer Program supports students in redefining self-care in a way that's meaningful and accessible to them. They learn strategies to achieve wellness through nature-based sports literacy and artistic lenses. We encourage students to utilize things that are relevant to their cultures and bring them joy and energy to achieve healing and restoration alongside community and licensed mental health professionals. We served ~40 elementary and middle school students during FY23 and 150 individuals.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesFeb 1, 2023 – Jan 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$9.3K
