Girls Rugby had a fantastic year with a lot of key successes in 2024. We registered 828 participants across all programs, camps, and clinics in 2024. Primary programs registered 647 participants and 53% were new players, showing a 47% retention rate across programs. We delivered a total of 13,302 activity hours and provided over $21,000 in scholarships. Our programs were led by a total of 143 registered volunteers, 74% of whom identify as female, 23% male, and 3% non-binary. The success of our programs is due to the incredible volunteer base and program staff leading the way. We had 16 different programs in six different states across spring and fall seasons, covering 54 community locations. Survey results from our players indicated that they loved the season (84%) and loved their coaches (91%). The biggest impacts were that players felt more confident (80%), made new friends (87%), and became better team players (90%). Parents equally loved the season (89%) and the coaches (93%). They enjoy the curriculum elements (82%) and saw the biggest changes in their children as increased confidence (82%)and becoming better team players (81%). A few noteworthy accomplishments that happened in 2024 were the expansion of the Board of Directors, an international exchange, two major grants, and the success of the Olympic Games. Our Board of Directors expanded in 2024 to 10 members, whom have worked tirelessly to benefit the strategic direction and health of the organization. We hosted an international intern in the spring of 2024 through a grant with the State Department. This also provided an opportunity for an exchange and in the fall of 2024 our CEO and Colorado Program Manager traveled to Kazakhstan to lead a program for young women aged 18-25. They participated in leadership activities and flag rugby, as a way to give them the Girls Rugby experience. This was supported by our intern from the spring. Girls Rugby was successful in two major grants from the Daniel?s Fund and the LA 84 Foundation. And in the summer during the Olympic Games, the US women?s team took home the bronze medal, which sparked a ton of interest in rugby and an increase in fall program registrations.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$182.3K
