Circular Great Lakes Initiative
During the fiscal year, the CGLR Foundation continued to operate a program called the Circular Great Lakes initiative. It brings companies together with government, academic, and nonprofit leaders to forge a future without material waste and pollution, starting with plastic, by identifying actions that enable a circular economy to form across the region's cities and sectors. The focus of the work in 2021-22 was on completing a gap analysis of materials management practices in the Great Lakes region and finalizing and releasing a strategy and action plan for building a plastics circular economy in the region, with a focus on six best practices involving plastics collection, processing, end-markets, consumer education, supportive public policies, and funding.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesApr 1, 2021 – Mar 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$121.7KBusiness and Sustainability Program
