Child and Family Services LPH served children, families, and the Deaf and Disability Communities through The Summit Therapy and Ministry Center in Tegucigalpa, Honduras: * Established a relationship with a local church and its leaders with the goal of preparing the church to engage in foster care ministry in partnership with LPH's Foster Care Pilot Program. * Provided bags of food, milk, clothing, and household essentials to children and families engaged in the child welfare system. * Provided safe housing and a range of social services for a single mother with three children struggling with domestic violence. One of the children is Deaf and attends our partner school Manos Felices Christian School for Deaf Children. * Completed the Summit Therapy Center, serving children and families in the Adoption and Foster Care, Deaf, and Disability communities, providing psychotherapy and counseling, and a space for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. * Provided counseling and a variety of therapies for children and families who are vulnerable or at risk. Emergency Relief LPH served children, families, and the Deaf and Disability Communities in response to the COVID-19 State of Emergency and Hurricanes Eta and Iota, which devastated the Sula Valley and communities in Tegucugalpa, Honduras. * Provided support for families affected by COVID 19 (1,500 food bags) and Hurricanes Eta and Iota (food and clothing for 50 families). * Provided support for two shelters for 85 people affected by Hurricanes Eta and Iota, including food and clothing. * Provided a typical Honduran Christmas dinner for 65 people living in the Nueva Suyapa shelter. * Made three mission trips to San Pedro Sula following Hurricanes Eta and Iota in partnership with 15 Deaf volunteers from Un Camino Deaf Church in order to help with emergency clean-up and restoration in four homes in La Planeta and four homes in Chamelacon. * Purchased startup items for three families in the Deaf community to help them return to their homes, including beds, stove tops, fans, kitchen cookware, dishes, and utensils, towels and bedding. * Paid the salaries of two Deaf laborers to do cleanup work for three weeks. * Provided funds to EFATA Deaf Church for relief work.* Purchased equipment for relief work, including power washer, shovels, wheelbarrows, rubber boots, and hand tools.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$35.4K
