    Since our founding in November of 2018 we have furnished 285 veterans' homes with several large pieces of furniture each; mainly beds and bedroom furniture full living room sets and TVs and dining room furniture. Not included in this number are meeting smaller requests like kitchen supplies wheel chairs exercise equipment etc. We work with case managers from the prominent Veterans Organizations to identify veterans and their families that receive housing assistance transitioning out of homelessness and get a list of their needs. We then reach into our community for donations of gently used furniture and equipment arrange pickup clean and repair the furniture and delivering to veterans' homes. We average about 100 per year with a full-volunteer crew no paid staff and financial support from small donors and the Founder's family.

  • Veteran Furniture Assistance Program

    Harvison House's goal for the year was to serve 100 veterans and their families. This means acquiring cleaning and storing donated furniture and supplies then delivering items several rooms of furniture and supplies to each of them. We exceeded this goal by 12. We also made 30 smaller deliveries i.e. Veteran only needed a bed or a sofa not a whole home.
