  • Daytime English Program

    Daytime English Program. We host these programs at two locations in Alexandria and Fairfax, Virginia. These programs served 205 adults and 63 children from August 2023- July 2024. These programs meet three times per week, and include adult English classes and a free early childhood program for children 0-5 years old. These programs prioritize serving women with young children and women who have never had the opportunity for education. We create a welcoming supportive community where students can feel safe sharing their burdens and the needs that they have as they navigate life in a new place. From August 2023- July 2024, we provided practical help 279 times for a variety of services, including job searching, resume writing, and support in making appointments with doctors offices, schools, the DMV, etc. We also connected students with resources in the community which can help them flourish (e.g., library, playgroups, food banks, job fairs, etc.). These programs offer adults the opportunity to hear about a God who loves them, read stories from the Bible, receive prayer, and ask spiritual questions.

  • Kids' Club Tutoring Program

    Kids' Club. This program provides weekly tutoring for elementary-aged children. Children receive small group tutoring that helps them improve their reading skills and practice English. Each club also has a character-building theme with stories and discussions related to topics such as respect, honesty, friendship, generosity, etc.
