Roc City Biz FastTrac Entrepreneurship Program
SMART Restart - Entrepreneurs - Roc City Biz FastTrac Program 42% of the total program services expenses. Roc City Biz FastTrac is a 12-week entrepreneurship training program designed for Rochester aspiring entrepreneurs people who have the goal of starting their own business and early stage entrepreneurs. As a part of this program we provide access to coaches expert speakers and peer support to guide them as they learn how to be a business owner and offer continued support to them and their businesses as needed. Two cohorts completed the program this year: projected 20 students 26 students completed the program. SMART Restart - Reentry Prep 38% of the total program services expenses. Reentry Prep provides services to individuals with a history of incarceration. Our program engages the participants with a desire to obtain technical job skills training and leverages community networks and local employers to assist participants that complete the program. Reentry Prep offers Coaching: life business and public speaking business and entrepreneurial fundamentals and navigation services to program participants. 18 participants completed the program this year. SMART Restart - Technology Trainng - IT Fundamentals 20% of the total program services expenses. A dedicated computer lab is critical to the success of our technology focused programs. Our laboratory is geared to be a safe space for our students to receive tools and training for a successful workforce reentry. GWC's Computer Repair course sets the stage for a career in IT. In the fourth quarter we received Konar Foundation funding to move this program forward. The program also obtained a partnership grant with Shore Foundation to purchase technology for our students. Program training resources includes: software $2,195 hardware $1,718 and instructional staff $4,340 contracted to deliver training courses. Two pilot sessions delivered: projected 20 students total course enrollment 22 students.
