Love Restoration Education and Support Program
Love Restoration is a community-based organization that provides education, nutrition, and healthcare to less privileged children in South Western Uganda. It was founded by a former Compassion International child. They manage and support a private Christian school. Mercy Rains provides support to Love Restoration on the US side.Because of the generosity of our donors we were able to:Increase the number of full-time students from 285 to 340.Provide uniforms for soccer.Build a water tank reservoir - $8,000.Raise $150,000 for Phase One of our new school buildings. Mercy Rains provides support to Love Restoration on the US side.Because of the generosity of our donors we were able to:o Continued to provide education, health care, and meals for 340 students.o Our Grade 7 pupils sat for their national Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), and all 16 candidates passed with excellent results.o Our students participated in a music, dance, and drama competition, securing 4th place out of 9 schools.o A group of 37 pupils and 11 teachers engaged in wildlife conservation efforts, visiting the Mgahinga Conservation Center and hiking Mt. Muhabura. The school also joined the Wildlife Clubs of Uganda, promoting environmental care and wildlife conservation within the school and community.o In the annual community athletics competition, our school finished 4th out of 11 schools. o As part of our commitment to community service, students assisted in the construction of Rwaramba Church by carrying stones.o We enrolled and currently pay for sixteen staff to participate in the National Social Security Fund for retirement.o Provided food and gifts (flour, soap, cooking oil) for over 400 families at our end of the year celebration.o Held our 4th annual walk/fundraiser and 5th annual Celebration dinner.o Created our 1st promotional video.o Raised the remaining $100,000 and completed Phase One of our new school building.o Had 150 new desks built for P3-P7.o Teacher desks and bookshelves built for 5 classrooms.o Started breaking ground for Phase Two of our school (kitchen, lunch/community room, septic system).GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$154.9K
