Jakmel Ekspresyon JE Originally founded in 2010 after the Haiti earthquake as a community art center JE is now an augmented school in Jacmel Haiti JE serves over 200 community members at a minimum cost to the students and functions as a not-for-profit organization supported primarily by donations JE offers classes in the arts technology trade skills sciences etc taught by local faculty and international volunteers JE also provides lecture meeting and gallery space for local community groups The objective of JE is tio provide people in the Jacmel Haiti community with a place of non-discrimination that meets the express needs of the community and the opportunity to learn job skill leading to employment Grants to JE support the operation of the school and many of the special programs it offers Grants have also supported the construction of JEs own school building which has eliminated rent payments and allow for expanding its program offerings and student baseGeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided––Children's Home and Education Support
Kay Angel Childrens Home KA KA is a certified childrens home in Jacmel Haiti founded to raise clothe and educate children with the HIV virus The home raises 13 children that are orphaned or unwanted by their families It is the objective of KA to provide for the growth well-being health and education of these children so they may become self-supporting and productive members of the Jacmel community Most of the children have been accepted into private schools where they will obtain a good education and learn to become responsible members of their community The objective of JCEF is to raise and grant funds to support the childrens educational expenses such as tuition uniforms and shoes books and supplies for each student In 2022 unrest in Haiti has closed down the schools Their education has continued through home schooling In 2023 the schools have reopenedGeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided––
