Trap/neuter/vaccinate/return program: In 2020, Cat Action Team TNVR'd a total of 726 cats: 410 females and 316 males. Additionally, 87 kittens and strays, 47 females and 40 males, were taken in by the foster/adopt program. Our CAT 2020 total of all cats/kittens spayed and neutered is 813. Foster/Adopt Program: In 2020, Cat Action Team took in and fostered 87 kittens and strays (47 females and 40 males) with the help of approximatey 20 foster homes. This information is reported to the Virginia Department of Agriculture. Most were adopted by the end of the year, and those who were not were adopted in early 2021. Pet retention/colony maintenance program: Because of Covid-19, for over 9 months of 2020 we were not able to hold our monthly pet-food drives at local pet-food stores. Even so, we were able to take in/distribute approximately $4,800 worth of donated food. In addition, Cat Action Team spent $17,700 buying/distributing food. Medical costs amounted to $15,600. We assisted approximately 65 households and over 400 cats.
