Caregiver and Infant Support Program
Launched in 2020, the Caregiver and Infant Support Program by Motherhood Beyond Bars (MBB) is anchored around three cardinal goals: ensuring infants receive tangible necessities for safety, such as car seats, a crib, and a monthly supply of diapers; empowering family caregivers to support children, preventing their entry into the foster care system; and facilitating the safe reunification of mothers with their children post-incarceration. In collaboration with Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health, we're researching the profound effects of incarceration on child wellbeing and advocating for transformative policy reforms. By 2022, our impact has encompassed serving 50 incarcerated mothers, supporting 65 mothers in reentry, and assisting 293 caregivers, infants, and children in households.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$205.3K
