    In response to the COVID-19 mandatory shutdowns, The Union Sharewaves Foundation launched the Ready2Play campaign which provided free resources and virtual opportunities to help parents and coaches keep kids physically, socially and emotionally healthy. Over 70 virtual workouts were produced to build community, fight isolation and keep young athletes engaged and ready to play. Local celebrities provided virtual pep talks for kids about the importance of staying ready to play.

  • Program 3 [2020]

    The Union Sharewaves Foundation completed Socktober and the Ready2Play Million Dollar Sock Giveaway, a virtual fundraiser and sock giveaway benefiting the KC area families in need. As a result 100,000 pairs of athletic socks were given away to local nonprofit organizations.
