One-on-one and Group Surf Therapy
Surf Therapy is an innovative form of holistic healthcare that utilizes surfing and the therapeutic powers of the ocean to elevate physical and mental health, as well as emotional well-being. Data collected shows 98% of Athletes report feeling happier and more confident after a Surf Therapy session and 100% of families report they would recommend Surf Therapy with Gnome to others. Happy Camp South Shore is Gnome's twice weekly, free-of-charge event. Serving 25 families per camp, this quintessential New England summer experience is a standby favorite of all Gnome families. With activities including guided yoga sessions, beach art creation, socializing, full one-on-one surf sessions for registered Athletes, s'more social around the camp fire, and an epic hi-five awards ceremony that honors all Athletes for their courage and awesomeness on the waves. Camp activities are open to all, but registration for surfing is limited so keep an eye on our social media pages @GnomeSurf to register when camps drop. The Good Vibe Tribe is Gnome’s All-Girls Surf Leadership Team that strives to build surf skills and cultivate passion for leadership and civic engagement. The team devotes countless hours to training with Certified Adaptive Surf Therapists, assisting younger athletes, and working on team and personal development through workshops, conferences, and training. The girls are learning to facilitate Surf Therapy sessions, organize and execute service projects, and gaining confidence and experience.
