    Open Arms 101 provided over 550 basic needs care packages to the elderly living at or below the poverty level in south suburban Cook County and Chicago, containing toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, petroleum jelly, deodorant, large print word search puzzle books, and health information. These items are distributed to individual clients and to food banks and other service providers who serve the elderly.

  • Program 1 [2025]

    Open Arms 101 provided basic needs support to elderly and underserved individuals through the distribution of hygiene supplies, new clothing, shoes, socks, food items, and educational materials. During the year, the organization distributed donated items including 6,000 pairs of socks and palletized shipments of new clothing and shoes, as well as other essential supplies, to seniors and community partners serving elderly populations.
