Incarcerated Women's Leadership Program
EWOP ENGAGES TOP LEADERS AND BUSINESS OWNERS TO CONSTRUCTIVELY REDIRECT INCARCERATED WOMENS' AMBITIONS BY EQUIPPING THEM WITH 10-DRIVING VALUES BASED ON TRAINING ON LEADERSHIP AND ENTREPENEURSHIP; THUS ENABLING THEM TO PRODUCTIVELY RE-ENTER SOCIETY. EMPOWERING WOMEN OUT OF PRISON (EWOP) ENGAGES TOP LEADERS AND BUSINESS OWNERS TO CONSTRUCTIVELY REDIRECT THE AMBITIONS OF INCARCERATED WOMEN BY EQUIPPING THEM WITH 5 DRIVING VALUES-BASED LEADERSHIP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING, PREPARING THEM FOR SUCCESSFUL REENTRY INTO SOCIETY. EACH YEAR, 100 WOMEN ARE COMPETITIVELY SELECTED FROM MORE THAN 1,000 APPLICANTS STATE-WIDE TO PARTICIPATE IN EWOP'S PROGRAMMING, REFLECTING BOTH THE DEMAND FOR AND THE RIGOR OF THE PROGRAM. EWOP DELIVERS A 3-MONTH, IN-PRISON CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, FOLLOWED BY A 6-MONTH BUSINESS PLAN AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CURRICULUM.NOW IN YEAR 6, EWOP PARTICIPANTS HAVE LAUNCHED 18 WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES, AND GRADUATES SECURE EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THE FIRST 90 DAYS POST-RELEASE.
