Community Empowerment and Rights Clinics
Fuerza Latina Quarterly Community Empowerment Clinics and Conflict Resolution Clinics. Four group offerings for both events of over 200 in attendance. These events included meetings with community professionals and speakers, listening to community needs with 10 hours of staff time per event as well as experts speaking about "knowing your rights" focusing on housing and rent assistance. Attendees received training on knowing their rights and were given information on opportunities for immigrants and the Latinx community. The conflict resolution clinics included one on one sessions offered by Fuerza Latina as well as another Non-Profit, ISAAC. These were collaborative events.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$40.4KOutdoor Equity and Sustainability Events
Outdoor Equity and Sustainability Walks Emphasizing Environment and Economic Justice. These monthly events took place from January to June. FCCAN started the year with anticipation on joy for everything that we create in the community to live out our goals of providing a space where everyone can access what they need to have a healthy and safe life. We offered each event with bilingual interpretation if needed. We are serving our Latine POC and prioritizing an intergenerational space where families can come together to enjoy the land. Their land. We hired one of the Natural Trail Leaders in March to help support our program. We wanted to make sure that each participant and Natural Trail Leaders felt supported from setting up the event, printing out fliers, social media posts, buying snacks, etc., and they have been a wonderful support. After each offering, we listened to participants and other Natural Trail Leaders to debrief to see what we could do better. After the hike, we were able to see those with disabilities were not able to attend due to climbing, so we are now adding an alternative outdoor activity near where the participants will start their hikes and then come together to close the event.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$13KHealing Justice Workshops
