Health Matters Senior Strong OMG Youth Sports & OMG Adventure ClubDescription:Health Matters is a wellness and life skills initiative that includes physical activity nutrition education mental health support and life preparedness workshops. It is offered through both OMG Youth Sports youth-focused and OMG Adventure Club adult and senior programming. Senior Strong its senior division provides adaptive group fitness fall prevention mindfulness practices and social engagement for older adults including those with neurodivergence or mobility challenges.Accomplishments:In 2024 the Health Matters initiative served over 200 participants including 80 seniors. The Senior Strong program expanded to 2 new regions and included partnerships with local health educators and senior centers. Youth sessions focused on healthy habits emotional resilience and physical literacy. Immersion Camps OMG Adventure ClubDescription:OMG Immersion Camps are weekend and seasonal programs that take underserved youth on educational field trips throughout Southern California. Camp themes focus on literacy STEM art history and culture including programs such as Passport to Reading and Latin Culture & Art in LA. Camps are inclusive of children with disabilities and transportation meals and 1-on-1 guides are provided as needed.Accomplishments:In 2024 OMG Adventure Clubs Immersion Camps served over 300 children across Los Angeles San Diego and Humboldt Counties. More than 70% of participants received scholarships or participated free of charge. The Young Scientists Immersion Camp concluded with a trip to the California Science Center while the Latino Culture and Art Immersion brought over 100 students to major cultural sites in Los Angeles. Power of MovementDescription:Power of Movement is an adaptive physical activity program that serves children and youth with disabilities such as autism ADHD and sensory processing challenges. The program offers inclusive movement fitness and wellness education through small group sessions specialized camps and 1-on-1 support. Activities are designed to improve motor skills boost confidence and promote independence in a supportive environment.Accomplishments:In 2024 the program expanded to a 5-day summer camp format and served over 150 participants across Los Angeles San Diego and Humboldt Counties.
