Plastic Pollution Education Initiative
Our accomplishments for 2021 included the following:- 10 children directly reached with plastic pollution prevention education;- 7 student projects to reduce plastic waste completed in the form of episodes;- 5 community volunteers engaged;- 75 pounds of debris removed from coastlines;- 768 pieces of single-use plastic items displaced: (16 staff, students, volunteers x 6 days x 8 daily SUP types); - 75 people reached by programs supported by this grant (Camp, Farmers Market, Community Word on the Street Interviews);- 100% of people reached that represent diverse ethnicities Afro-Caribbean (Bahamian; Haitian) descent. - Via our application forms, we estimate that 65% of people reached are from low income families.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$10KProgram 1 [2024]
