  • Community Fire Safety Outreach

    The Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary works in partnership with the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department to provide community outreach and engagement events to promote fire prevention/youth education, general public safety knowledge, and volunteer recruitment. In 2024, we led or supported more than a dozen community outreach events reaching thousands of local community residents for Edgewater, MD and surrounding communities. In addition, we supported recruitment of more than 15 new volunteers for the department and auxiliary.

  • Fire Department Support and Fundraising

    The Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary supports the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department's mission to provide life saving public safety services for Edgewater, MD and surrounding communities. In 2024, we launched a fundraising campaign to support the planning, development and eventual construction of a brand new firehouse and emergency medical services station. Additional activities include software support, a rebrand campaign to better reflect the communities we serve, an upgraded website and a social media campaign to garner additional community support and engagement.
