YEBO Story Pop-Up Program
Program Description: YEBOs Story Pop-Up Program partners with youth-serving organizations (schools, nonprofits, community centers) to empower 60-90 BIPOC youth annually (aged 14-24) throughout Colorado to explore their identities, create healthy connections, and develop essential life skills through the transformative power of storytelling. Rooted in three pillarsEducation & Career Empowerment, Cultural Enrichment, and Youth Mental Healththis program offers storytelling workshops, live events, and media production training that help youth gain communication, leadership, social-emotional, and creative skills.Key outcomes include enhanced communication skills, heightened cultural awareness, and improved emotional well-being. Participants engage in storytelling workshops led by experienced artists and media professionals, where they develop and refine personal narratives on a range of life topics. In a safe and affirming environment, participants hone their narrative literacy, presenting their stories to live audiences and producing content that prepares them for future educational and career opportunities. They also receive training in podcasting and audio production, turning their stories into polished, shareable media.
