In 2024, Medicine Wheel Ride carried out culturally significant events to raise awareness and promote healing for the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR). Two major program activities included participation in the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota and the Premier of the We Ride For Her documentary film in Austin, Texas. These gatherings brought together Indigenous Women Motorcyclists from across the country and served as powerful, sacred platforms for community education, advocacy, and healing, further amplifying the organization's impact. We ride to celebrate our culture, our traditions, and the strength that lives in Indigeous people everywhere. This gathering is a reminder of our resilience, our power, and our deep connection to one another. This is more than just a ride, it is a space for healing, a time to honor our Missing and Murdered Indgenous Relatives (MMIR) and a moment to stand together against violence in all forms.
