  • Community Support and Healing Initiatives

    In 2022, The S.H.I.F.T. Cooperative was able to provide financial, housing, transportation, and utility assistance to 100+ families and 47 individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities, and surrounding states totaling $60,558.74, as well as buy groceries, clothing & shoes for families and youth disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other socio-economic hardships. We provided financial opportunities to BIPOC students invested in learning yoga or healing methodologies and executed programming online and in-person around mindfulness(ex: yoga, meditation, and community healing). Similar to years prior, we collected donations of food, clothing, shoes, and other necessities and hosted pop-ups to redistribute those donations. We distributed over 1000 pounds of clothing, and shoes for adults and children, and gifted over $2500 in fresh produce, meat, nonperishables, PPE, and other household necessities to community members via a pop-up in July 22.
