The Long Island HEC weekend retreat typically held each Spring provides an environment where participants minister to each other?s needs, celebrate humanity, and learn from one another. These weekends form the foundation of the Long Island HEC family and dynamically fuel the supportive network maintained throughout the year. Various other events are held throughout the year where we can gather for an annual picnic at Lakeland Park in Sayville, a festive Holiday party at St. Francis in Greenlawn, and other social outings such as Long Island Duck outingsacross Long Island. Additionally, the Board meets several times throughout the year to discuss activities and logistics.
