ExpresArte Cultural Wellness Collective
ExpresArte Cultural Wellness Collective is dedicated to centering the voices of people of color, co-creating programs and experiences that infuse healing and hope into our organizing and advocacy spaces. We address the root causes of trauma by providing opportunities for individuals to reclaim their culture, cultivate their creativity, and continue their healing journey. Through our Home-Grown Fellowship and other programming, we support therapists of color in the Central Valley on their path to licensure, while also helping licensed therapists unlearn biases inherent in the Medical Industrial Complex. Our mission is to develop the next generation of BIPOC mental health providers in the Central Valley, fostering trust, culture, and healing justice in our communities.ExpresArte Cultural Wellness Collective envisions a future where access to mental health practitioners rooted in shared experiences is a reality for all residents of the South San Joaquin Valley. Our programs prioritize access to culturally competent care, recognizing and addressing the impacts of structural racism. By creating a safe space for BIPOC mental health practitioners to share their experiences and supporting them in their professional journey, we aim to fill gaps in mental health services and build a community where healing is accessible to all rural people in the South San Joaquin Valley.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$174.7K
