MCEO Employee Ownership Education
MOCEO PROVIDES EDUCATION AND CONNECTIONS TO TECHNICAL RESOURCES TO BUSINESS OWNERS, THEIR ADVISORS, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS ON THE BENEFITS OF EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP AS BOTH AN EXIT PLANNING AND BUSINESS GROWTH TOOL. DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, THE MOCEO PARTNERED WITH 59 MISSOURI BASED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, NON-PROFIT, AND GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS THE MOCEO HELD 6 WEBINARS AND SEMINARS ON EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP WITH APPROXIMATELY 140 ATTENDEES. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THESE PARTNERSHIPS WAS JOINT PROGRAMMING WITH THE WEST CENTRAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP., UMKC SBDC, AND THE MISSOURI/KANSAS CITY SOURCELINK. MOCEO ALSO BEGAN WORKING WITH 9 BUSINESSES TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR POSSIBLE CONVERSION TO AN EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP MODEL. OUTREACH TO PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS FOR FUTURE PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES AND FUNDRAISING BECAME THE FOCUS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
