Recovery to Work Programs
Appalachian Regional Commission INSPIRE Grant - 2nd cash advance to continue implementation of recovery to work programs that create a recovery ecosystem of support, a social enterprise business to train and employ those in recovery and prepare them for reentry into society. The grant supported vocational training, resume building, advanced job searches, interview skill building, interviewing techniques and etiquette, follow-up. Outreach was done to create a network of potential employers who are willing to hire individuals in recovery. West Virginia Bureau of Health and Health Care Facilities Recovery Community Organization Grant was awarded to create a Recovery Community Organization that assists individuals in recovery with resources to guide them to behavioral health services, recovery support systems, coaching, linkage, referral, housing, and social interaction. Aetna Mothers Nest Grant was awarded to strenghten Aspires current recovery residence by including high risk mothers in recovery and their children. While residing at the residence, all family members receive support, coaching, family resources, employment and daycare assistance. The goal is to decrease recidivism and stop cycles of substance use disorder from generational impacts.
