  • National Black Postdoctoral Association Childcare Fund

    The nonprofit hosted the National Black Postdoctoral Association, Inc. Childcare fund which was featured in the prestigious journal "Nature". We issued seven fellowships of $767.42 to recipients in 2021 to aid them in the cost of childcare to continue their doctoral degree programs.

  • Program 1 [2024]

    From October 23-25, 2024, the National Black Postdoctoral Association (NBPA) was invited by Southwestern University to host its annual Leadership Symposium in Dallas, Texas. This in-person event brought together NBPA and Black Postdoctoral Association (BPA) leaders from across the country for a series of workshops focused on leadership development, team-building, strategic planning, mental health, and research advancement. The symposium featured networking opportunities, poster sessions, and group dining events to foster community and scholarly exchange. The event supported NBPA's mission to empower Black postdoctoral scholars through professional development and collaborative engage. Southwestern University coordinated all logistics and expenses on behalf of the symposium and NBPA's involvement was limited to arranging the speakers of the symposium.
