Tucson Electrical Joint Apprenticeship And Training Program
We are a four-year apprenticeship program with on the job training and classroom instruction. We operate on 3% of gross payroll as defined in the collective bargaining agreement between the IBEW 570 and southern Arizona NECA. We provide standardized training and education to the members of the international brotherhood of electrical workers and the national electrical contractors association in a joint apprenticeship program called the Tucson electrical joint apprenticeship and training program. Along with the classroom instruction, we keep track of students' on the job training hours received from our signatory electrical contractors. An apprentice typically earns 2,000 hours on the job training and 225 hours in the classroom. This program is a national program that registers with the Arizona Commerce Authority, Office of Apprenticeship.
