Park Operations and Community Engagement
In 2022, the Organization signed a Park Operations and Maintenance Agreement with the City of Austin. It immediately began fulfilling primary responsibility duties for the maintenance of over 110 acres of natural areas and Trail and park features such as manicured planting areas and gathering areas. Significant ecological restoration work was completed Trail-wide, including shoreline restoration and stabilization, urban forestry expansion, and wildflower meadow seeding. In addition, the Organization hosted 76 volunteer events, established 3,293 plants, collected 3,705 pounds of trash, and spread 470 cubic yards of mulch. Regular programming events that are free and open to the public have been expanded to include monthly fitness series, weekly music and cultural events, educational programs, and expanded cultural exhibits in collaboration with other Austin art and education institutions.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$937KCapital Projects and Community Engagement
