Silicon Valley Allied for the Common Good
We are a non-partisan network of faith-based organizations, civic associations, and nonprofits that come together to effect change on a larger scale than we couldalone. We are intentional in our focus on developing leadership in underserved communities and incorporating them into the leadership of our organization. Weidentify a broad-based set of shared local issues affecting communities - such as housing insecurity, immigration, mental health and neighborhood safety. We buildlong-term relationships across lines that often divide us (multi-faith). We help regular people have a seat at the decision-making tables of Silicon Valley. On November 2 2024, 2 days before the National Election, we held our Founding Convention with 800 attendees and 17 Institutions, at the Santra Clara ConventionCenter. We changed our name from Silicon Valley Sponsoring Committee, a 6 year effort, to Silicon Valley Allied for the Common Good. Within 30 days, theexcitement generated, and possibly the prospects of changed federal policies with a new administration, resulted in 4 additional Institutions joining, with 3 or 4more participating and likely to join. We are now 21, and we hope to be 30 within 12 to 18 months.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$124.3K
